Singer and actress Selena, 20, had “trust issues” over the superstar, pals said yesterday.
The heart-throb was spotted with Victoria’s Secret beauty Barbara Palvin, 19, in New York last week.
A source close to Selena — who dated the singer for two years — said: “She broke up with him a week ago. They were apart so much that it got complicated. She had some trust issues.
“It’s not easy but the relationship needed to end.”
A friend of Selena said: “She found it desperately difficult to split up because she loves him so much.”
Hungarian Barbara tweeted a snap of herself with Justin after they met at a fashion show on Thursday.
They then saw The Lion King on Broadway together.
