* Angelina Jolie admits to feeling more family pressure to marry as she bonds with Brad Pitt's parents


There have been plenty rumours of tension between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's parents over the years.


But the trio certainly looked at ease in each other's company as they bonded in New York today. The actress, 36, was joined by Bill and Jane Pitt as she took a break from promoting her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey. The A-list star was dressed in a white suit for the outing, although it seemed to hang off her tiny frame. 

The tabloids have, at various times, suggested brunette did not get along with the couple. There has also been speculation that they were more fond of Brad's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. However there was no hint of animosity as the beaming women linked arms with Bill following closely behind.

Angelina, who raises six children, Maddox, 10, Pax, right, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with actor Brad, 47, admits she has been put under pressure by her children to tie the knot.

'The kids asked me the other day and I asked them if it was just because they wanted to have a big cake,' she said in an interview with Nightline airing in the U.S. later today. 'They see movies that have the people getting married in the movies or somebody's, you know, the happily ever after. Shrek and Fiona are married. 

'We’ve explained to them that our commitment when we decided to start a family was the greatest commitment you could possibly have.

'Once you have six children, you’re…you’re committed.'
