Adele is Britain’s richest young musician

She created one of the best-selling albums of all time and has spent the past year being showered with awards and glory.

And at the tender age of 23, superstar Adele has now seen her fortune swell to £20million – increasing by £14million in just 12 months.

The London-born singer has topped the Sunday Times Rich List of young British musicians following the success of her second album, 21, with its chart-topping tales of heartbreak and woe.

Steve Redmond, of the Entertainment Retailers Association, said: “Adele’s been the success story of the past year by a mile. You only get an Adele once every ten years. It’s success on a ginormous scale.”
